Megaformer classes in Dubai
Coach-led Megaformer classes in Al Quoz — in the same membership as strength and HIIT, not a separate studio with a separate fee.
What a Megaformer actually is
A Megaformer is a spring-resistance machine built around a gliding carriage. You move slowly and under constant tension, which is what makes a class that looks gentle feel nothing like it by minute four.
It was developed out of Pilates-style training, and it targets the deep stabiliser muscles that conventional weight training tends to miss — the ones that hold posture together and keep a heavy squat honest.
Resistance comes from springs rather than stacked plates, so load changes continuously through the movement instead of in fixed increments. That is why Megaformer work complements machine strength training rather than duplicating it.
How our Megaformer classes run
10+ class variations
Different sequences with different emphasis — core, lower body, full body — so the format does not become the same class repeated weekly.
A coach in every class
Every session is coach-led and capacity-controlled. Your spot is booked, so you are not waiting for a machine or improvising a sequence.
Scaled to your level
No prior Megaformer experience is needed. The machine adjusts to your current ability and the coach scales each movement.
Tracked like everything else
You wear a heart rate monitor, shown live on the studio screen, and the session counts toward the record that shapes your program.
Why it sits inside one membership
Dubai has good single-format Megaformer studios. The trade-off is that a Megaformer-only membership gives you one stimulus: excellent for core strength, stability and control, but it will not build maximal strength or move VO2 max much on its own.
At Hero's Journey, Megaformer is one of five zones. The same membership covers Upper Body and Lower Body strength, Bootcamp and Metcon HIIT, and the Assessment Center — and your program tells you how to combine them, rather than leaving you to guess how many Megaformer classes a week is the right number.
Each type of training has a role. Strength sessions build muscle and raise what you can lift, HIIT develops cardiovascular fitness and endurance, and Megaformer adds controlled resistance work focused on core strength and stability.
Megaformer questions
A spring-resistance machine that uses a gliding carriage for slow, controlled movements, originally developed for Pilates-style training. It targets deep stabiliser muscles that traditional weight training misses.
They share an origin but not a format. A Megaformer is larger, carries more spring load and more handhold positions, and classes run at a continuous tempo with no rest between movements — closer to strength training in intensity than a classical Pilates session.
No. Every class is coach-led and scaled to your level, and the machine adjusts to your current ability.
Yes. Megaformer is one of the five training zones covered by a single Hero's Journey membership, alongside Upper Body, Lower Body, Bootcamp and Metcon.
Warehouse No. 9, 7B Street, Al Quoz Industrial Area 1, Dubai. The studio opens in November 2026.
That depends on your goal, and your program answers it. After your baseline assessment you get a program that specifies which classes to book across the week and how Megaformer fits alongside strength and HIIT.
